LGBTQIA+-Focused Residential Care

The residential treatment program is designed for LGBTQIA+ adults and young adults who live with both substance use and mental health conditions. Care takes place in a community environment where identity is respected, pronouns are honored, and safety is a priority. The facility provides 24-hour care that blends therapy and life-skills development. Clients live in a home-like setting with shared meals, peer activities, and group therapy. Family and chosen-family participation are encouraged. Staff are trained in LGBTQIA+ cultural competency and provide space for open discussion around topics like self-acceptance, gender identity, and the impact of discrimination.

Integrated Treatment for Mind, Body, and Identity

The center’s approach focuses on the connection between emotional well-being, identity, and recovery. Clients receive individual treatment plans that integrate both medical and holistic support. Therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed counseling, each tailored to address the effects of stress, stigma, and trauma common in the LGBTQIA+ community. Every client works one-on-one with trained medical staff and recovery coaches who understand how identity and lived experience shape the path toward healing.

Life Skills and Employment Support

Clients participate in skill-building activities such as cooking groups, menu planning, and budgeting workshops to help strengthen independence. Vocational counseling, education support, and job readiness training are offered to help clients plan for the next stage of life. Many clients also volunteer in the community or pursue school or work opportunities while in treatment. Wellness is integrated into daily routines through group exercise, mindfulness, and nutrition education.

MAT and Peer Mentorship

For clients who benefit from medication-assisted approaches, the center provides access to both mental health medications and medications for addiction treatment (MAT). These are used in combination with counseling to support recovery. The team coordinates with in-network prescribers when needed and supports clients who receive MAT from outside providers. In addition to clinical care, clients have access to peer mentors, recovery coaching, self-help groups, and overdose education. Aftercare planning begins early to ensure every client leaves with a solid plan for continued support and connection to community resources.
