Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults seeking integrated outpatient treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions; needing intensive treatment with structured support after stepping down from residential treatment; looking for flexible scheduling with evening hours to balance recovery with school, work, or family responsibilities.

  • Not a fit if: Adults needing residential treatment; requiring withdrawal management (detox); seeking weekend programming; looking for luxury accommodations.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Care coordination: The treatment team requests records from previous treatment programs when they can. This can help them coordinate care when clients are transitioning from residential facilities. It can also help the care team choose the appropriate level of care. That said, access to previous care records is not required.
  • Clinical assessment: Every client receives a clinical assessment. The clinical team tailors individual treatment plans based on both the information gathered from this assessment and from the client's previous treatment history. Treatment may focus on primary mental health disorders or substance use disorder. This will depend on which is more appropriate for the client.
  • Regular readjustments: Treatment plans adjust to client needs. There is no standard program progression or path. Recovery is designed for clients to gradually resume school, work, or other responsibilities.

Who you will meet with

  • Medical team: A psychiatrist and nurse practitioner provide medication management for clients who need MAT and offer other oversight.
  • Licensed therapists: Clients meet with licensed therapists for individual sessions. These may focus on substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions. They also lead group sessions.
  • Drug & alcohol counselor: Each client is assigned a drug and alcohol counselor. These professionals are specially trained in treating drug and alcohol addiction.
  • Case manager: Case managers manage and adapt care plans. They also connect clients to outside resources as needed.

Typical schedule

  • Partial hospitalization program: Daily schedules depend on level of care. The PHP program runs Monday–Friday from 11 a.m.–4:45 p.m.
  • Intensive outpatient program: There are two IOP options. Daytime IOP is Monday–Friday, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.; evening IOP is Monday–Friday, 4 p.m.–7 p.m. With these schedules, clients can plan their treatment around job, school, and family responsibilities.
  • Virtual options: Virtual programming options may be covered by some insurance plans. Schedules vary but treatment may be available in the evening.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Flexibility: The variety of scheduling options allow clients to get the treatment and support they need while having time to maintain daily responsibilities.
  • Sober living housing: Sober living housing may be available for some clients while in outpatient treatment. Availability depends on insurance coverage.

Aftercare

  • Continuum of care: Because the facility offers various outpatient services, clients can step down to lower levels of care as appropriate while keeping the same providers and care plan.
  • Aftercare planning: Case managers assist clients with employment support and connect them to continuing care services as needed. The program also offers recovery coaching, relapse prevention planning, and alumni events and groups.
