Inclusive and Affirming Support for Teens
Care is designed to be safe, welcoming, and affirming for all teens. The program offers an LGBTQIA+ inclusive environment where identity exploration is supported without stigma. Treatment addresses both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, including eating disorders. Daily schedules consist of trauma-informed therapy, peer connection, and family involvement. Teens build social skills, practice self-expression, and strengthen resilience in a space that values diversity and belonging. This helps young people gain confidence and develop tools to navigate recovery and daily life with greater stability.
Healing for the Whole Family
Parents and caregivers take part in regular Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) sessions that focus on rebuilding trust, improving communication, and reducing conflict at home. The program shifts the perspective from viewing the teen as the problem to recognizing the family as a system that can heal together. By practicing new skills in a supportive setting, families leave treatment with tools they can continue to use. This can help to strengthen relationships long after the program ends .
Fun Experiential Activities
Along with therapy, teens take part in adventure therapy activities such as trips to local nature preserves, hiking, and beach visits. Mindfulness-based groups such as meditation and yoga are also part of programming. These experiences help teens reduce stress, express themselves, and learn practical coping skills in real-world settings
Academics and Life Skills
The program includes education so teens don’t fall behind while receiving care. Accredited teachers and tutors provide classroom instruction and one-on-one academic support, helping students strengthen organization and executive-functioning skills. Beyond academics, the program emphasizes practical life skills such as managing stress, building healthy peer relationships, and improving communication at home and in school. This integration helps give teens the confidence to return to their school environment prepared, supported, and better equipped to handle challenges in the future.
Flexible Care Levels
The center offers two outpatient levels. The partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides full-day care, five days a week, for teens who need intensive daily support. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) meets in the afternoons and evenings, ideal for those balancing school or home responsibilities. A virtual IOP option also allows families to stay connected to care when in-person attendance isn’t possible.
