Restorative Healing Rooted in Tradition
Treatment is designed to restore mind, body, and spirit. The center combines evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention with traditional Native American practices such as sweat lodges, talking circles, smudging, and drumming. This unique integration helps clients heal from addiction, mental health challenges, and trauma while reconnecting with cultural identity and community.
Residential Care with Small Groups and Personal Focus
The facility provides short and long-term residential care, typically ranging from 30 to 90 days. With a maximum of 10 clients at a time, the program offers a close-knit and individualized environment. Treatment addresses both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Care for gambling addiction is also provided. Clients receive medical and mental health assessments, counseling, and long-term support.
Skills Training for Life Beyond Treatment
Clients participate in life skills training, vocational support, and educational assistance. These resources help strengthen independence and open new opportunities. Employment counseling and partnerships with local employers help clients rebuild financial stability. Peer mentoring, recovery coaching, and self-help groups provide ongoing encouragement during and after the program. Case management services are also offered.
Trauma-Informed Recovery
The center has a strong focus on trauma-informed care. Specialized groups are available for women, veterans, military families, and individuals who have experienced abuse, violence, or loss. The program also highlights the role of generational trauma in mental health and substance use. Culturally rooted practices and a supportive community atmosphere offer a safe and affirming space for the healing process.
Experiential Activities and Community Connection
Clients frequently participate in group outings to rediscover joy in a substance-free life. Outings include visits to cultural sites, museums, and nature areas, along with activities like kayaking, hiking, and community events. On-site, clients engage in art and music therapy, group counseling, and cultural ceremonies.
Aftercare and Continuing Support
Treatment does not end at discharge. Clients are guided through aftercare planning, recovery coaching, and follow-up services to reduce relapse risk. Assistance with housing, social services, and employment is provided as needed based on clients’ individual circumstances. With a blend of modern therapy, cultural tradition, and long-term support, the center offers a path to healing that is both comprehensive and deeply personal.
