Developing your care plan

  • Admission: During admission professional evaluations and assessments are done to understand medical and substance use history, mental and physical health needs, and recovery goals.
  • Patient involvement: Developing a treatment plan is a collaborative experience between the client and clinicians. Goals are reviewed, updated, and tracked during weekly individual therapy sessions.
  • Continued reassessment: Care plans are adjusted as progress is made and milestones are reached. Clients may move through different levels of care, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), and outpatient treatment, as their needs and recovery goals evolve.

Who you will meet with

  • Medical team: The medical director, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and registered nurses (RNs) are all a part of the medical team that clients meet with during treatment.
  • Clinical team:The clinical team includes individual therapists, master's level clinicians who lead group therapy, psychologists, medical doctors, and case managers who help coordinate care and the client's transition between the various available levels of care.
  • Family therapists: Family therapy including systemic family therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) are led by family therapists.

Typical schedule

  • Morning: Days begin with waking up and personal care followed by breakfast, a goal setting group the the main clinical group led by a therapist.
  • Midday: During midday clients participate in psychoeducation classes and a rotation of specialty group activities followed by lunch.
  • Afternoon: The afternoon brings more additional group treatment that may include psychoeducation, coping skills, life skills, relapse-prevention work, in addition to art therapy and other specialty sessions.
  • Evening: In the evenings clients have dinner then can work on therapeutic homework assignments, participate in recovery meetings and guest speaker or panel sessions. Personal time, medication administration and evening process groups round out the night before bed.
  • Day to day treatment types: Clients participate in a variety of evidence-based and holistic therapies that may include Motivational Interviewing, trauma therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy CBT, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), neurocognitive treatment, yoga, massage therapy, and nutrition counseling.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Residential environment: Offering a comfortable, quiet residential setting, individuals stay in private and semi-private rooms with TV, internet access, and can use their cell phones. Some rooms may include private bathrooms.
  • Food and wellness: Meals are prepared by a chef with nutrition-focused support and dietary accommodations available as well as snacks throughout the day.
  • Fitness and recreation: An on-site gym, basketball court, yoga and scheduled physical fitness activities are in place to support physical wellness. Clients may also access outdoor lounges, games, and recreational activities, and adventure outings or museum trips.

Aftercare

  • Aftercare services: The facility offers a variety of aftercare services that include recovery coaching, support meetings, housing assistance, employment training, and assistance accessing social services.

  • Alumni and continued recovery support: Private virtual alumni groups are available to clients after recovery in addition to clients maintaining the ability to call a counselor. Outpatient step-down options, professional re-entry support, and peer resources are intended to provide a bridge to individuals who finish with the formal program.
