Residential Mental Health Care for Teen Girls

Mission Prep provides residential mental health treatment exclusively for female-identifying adolescents ages 12-17. The program creates a gender-specific environment where teens can safely address trauma, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, and identity challenges. The home-like setting includes shared bedrooms, flexibility to bring personal items, and inclusive housing policies that support comfort and autonomy.

Integrative Therapy Meets Academic and Social Support

Treatment includes evidence-based modalities like dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Daily schedules balance therapy with academic instruction, helping teens stay on track with school while learning coping skills and emotional tools that support stability beyond treatment.

Family Connection and Structured Reintegration

Families are involved from the start through weekly therapy, education sessions, and a structured reintegration plan that begins before discharge. Mission Prep supports remote and in-person family participation, acknowledging the central role loved ones play in recovery. Aftercare planning and support groups aim to sustain emotional connection and reduce risk of relapse once a teen returns home.

Engaging Experiences for Real-World Learning

The program extends beyond talk therapy with wellness-focused and experiential options like yoga, gardening, surf therapy, art therapy, and skateboarding groups. Teens also have access to daily exercise, weekly personal training, and group outings such as beach trips and go-karting. These experiences support personal agency, build resilience, and offer opportunities for self-expression during treatment.

Who This Program Serves Best

Mission Prep is designed for adolescents who need intensive support in a structured, emotionally responsive setting. This includes teens stepping down from hospitalization, struggling with trauma or emotional dysregulation, or navigating identity development. The program’s balance of therapy, academics, family integration, and measured outcomes helps teens build healthier futures from a strong foundation.
