Trauma-Informed Residential Treatment

Treatment integrates motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with a trauma-informed approach that emphasizes safety, empowerment, and personal choice. Adolescents take part in daily group therapy and meet individually with counselors two to three times each week. Family therapy sessions help parents and caregivers understand their teen’s challenges and reinforce consistent support at home. The program’s focus on self-reflection, communication, and emotional regulation prepares teens for continued progress beyond residential care.

Academic Continuity and Educational Support

During treatment, teens attend on-campus classes through a partnership with the Alexander School District and the Athens Educational Service Center. This accredited academic program allows students to stay current with their schoolwork or work toward completing a GED. Teachers collaborate with each student’s home school to align coursework and ensure smooth re-entry after discharge.
