Trauma-Focused Therapies and Real-World Guidance
Trauma-informed care is integrated throughout the program to help clients address the root causes of addiction. Licensed counselors use evidence-based therapies to support healing, including from co-occurring mental health conditions. Yoga is offered to help with emotional regulation during the process. Life skills workshops are held for clients to build confidence and independence, covering essential topics like budgeting and job readiness.
12-Step Care and Peer Support
The program includes access to 12-step meetings, including Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA), giving clients a structured recovery path to follow long-term. Peer support is provided by certified recovery specialists who mentor clients throughout their journey. As part of aftercare, clients are referred to social support and community services as needed, including local 12-step groups. The care team follows up with clients for a year after treatment to provide additional guidance.
Weekly Family Counseling and Visitation
A Family Education Program is offered every week for loved ones of inpatient clients. This involves education to help families both support clients and to start their own healing. Topics include communication, boundaries, relapse prevention, codependency, defense mechanisms, and overdose prevention. These evening group classes are followed by a visitation session with clients, so families can stay connected.
Comprehensive Case Management
Care staff provide case management services adapted to individual needs. Clients work with a case manager one-on-one to develop a plan for obtaining resources including housing, continued medication access, and primary care services. Staff can also help clients determine eligibility and file paperwork for family and medical leave, insurance, and the process of returning to work after treatment.
