What to expect

Developing your care plan

• First steps: Before admission, clients meet with staff for a review and assessment. Staff learn more about the client’s clinical, medical, and personal circumstances to determine if the program is an appropriate fit.
• Approaches to treatment: Care plans vary by client but typically include individual and group therapy and peer support. Relapse-prevention planning and life skills training are also integrated into residential care, and there is a focus on improving emotional wellness and rebuilding relationships. For people seeking outpatient MAT for opioid use disorder, medication is paired with counseling and recovery services rather than functioning as a standalone service.
• Evolving care plans: The clinical team selects an appropriate medication approach and develops a therapy schedule. As the client stabilizes and progresses, the care plan evolves. In the residential program, length of stay is determined by individual progress. Clients can step down to the outpatient program as they progress. For those in the MAT program, stabilization can potentially lead to less frequent medication visits. In some cases, take-home doses may become available after 30 days of clean screens.

Who you will meet with

Typical schedule

• 24/7 support: The residential program operates 24/7. Staff include a multidisciplinary team that provides medical, behavioral, and peer recovery support.
• A blend of approaches: Clients live on-site, participate in recovery work, attend therapy, and engage with the peer community. Activities may include life-skills work, relapse prevention, and relationship building.
• Outpatient MAT: The outpatient program offers early hours so that clients can make medication visits fit around their schedules. Hours are Monday-Friday, 5-11 a.m. and 6-9 a.m. on Saturday.

Living experiences and amenities

• Accessible residential environment: Adults of all genders are welcome in the residential program and expected to participate in the peer community. The facility is ADA-compliant and wheelchair accessible, and interpreters are available for clients who do not speak English.
• No-car policy: Clients cannot bring personal vehicles to treatment; admissions can coordinate transportation to the facility when needed. However, free parking is available on-site for outpatient clients and visitors.

Aftercare

Whether a client in the residential program is ready for outpatient or someone in the outpatient program needs more support, clients can get the level of care they need with the same providers so they don’t have to start over with a new team or organization.
