Bette Center specializes in helping young adult and adult men transition from residential care to independent community living. The program emphasizes practical skills, like managing responsibilities, accessing community resources, and building healthy routines, that prepare residents for life after treatment.

Specialized Services and Target Populations

Through case management and group work, residents are connected to outpatient substance use treatment, mental health services, and medical care. The program also offers education and job support, housing assistance, and recovery coaching. Bette Center is equipped to support men with co-occurring conditions, trauma histories, or chronic pain, as well as veterans, seniors, and members of military families. Treatment for gambling and other addictions is also available.

Outpatient Care and Medications for Addiction

Residents continue their recovery with outpatient counseling that includes both individual and group therapy. When appropriate, medications for addiction treatment (MAT) and psychiatric care through a nurse practitioner provide ongoing clinical support. This coordinated approach ensures continuity of care as residents move toward independence.

Recovery Environment and Long-Term Support

Located in Albany, the facility offers a recreation room and a backyard with a basketball court, creating opportunities for connection and wellness. Residents benefit from peer-led groups, life skills workshops, social skills development, and suicide prevention resources. Transportation assistance helps maintain access to essential appointments. Planning for discharge begins early, with follow-up and aftercare services designed to keep residents connected to long-term recovery resources.
