Focused, Gender-Specific Mental Health Care
This residential program serves clients living with serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and depression. Many arrive following psychiatric hospitalization and need a safe, clinically guided space to stabilize. Men and women reside in separate locations, allowing for focused, trauma-informed therapeutic and emotional support. With 24/7 access to staff, clients receive consistent care to manage symptoms, build coping skills, and lay the groundwork for lasting recovery.
Upscale Environment Designed for Healing
Care takes place in comfortable, home-like environments with spacious rooms and common areas. This provides a quiet, secure setting that encourages rest, reflection, and social connection. With beautiful natural views and plenty of light, clients can enjoy peaceful downtime both indoors and outdoors. Beyond clinical treatment, the program supports whole-person wellness. This includes yoga, meditation, social outings in the area, and motivational work.
Creative Therapies and Recreational Outings
AMFM integrates weekly experiential therapies into care plans, including art, music, and mind-body healing sessions. Equine therapy offers clients a chance to connect with horses in a way that is designed to encourage emotional expression and body awareness. Clients also engage in weekly outings like museum visits, mini-golf, parks, and movies, helping restore joy during treatment and providing opportunities to unwind and interact with peers.
Intensive, Personalized Clinical Support
Clients receive comprehensive care from a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, nurses, licensed therapists, and medication technicians. Each week, clients participate in a minimum of two individual therapy sessions alongside daily group therapy. This structure allows for consistent work on core mental health issues. The clinical team collaborates closely to adjust treatment plans according to each client’s evolving needs.
Emphasis on Family Involvement
Family therapy is a central component of the center’s care philosophy. Loved ones are invited to participate in the client’s recovery process early and often. This helps address underlying relationship struggles, improve communication, and encourage smoother transitions after discharge. Families are also provided with education on how to best support a loved one with mental illness, to keep positive progress going once the client returns home.
