Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults seeking a luxury residential treatment experience with private accommodations; who are looking for treatment for both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions; individuals seeking specialized care for trauma, PTSD, treatment-resistant depression, or eating disorders; professionals and executives who value privacy, comfort, and discretion; veterans; who want access to multiple levels of care within the same treatment network.
Not a fit if: Adults looking for a low-cost treatment option; those seeking a highly faith-based recovery model; who prefer a large campus with extensive recreational amenities as the primary focus of treatment; are seeking sober living housing directly through the facility.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Initial assessment: Treatment begins with a professional assessment and evaluation of a client's medical and substance use history, mental health needs, and current health status.
- Personalized treatment plan: Care plans are developed by the client and treatment team working collaboratively to identify recovery goals and clinical needs. Plans are reviewed and updated during ongoing therapy sessions and evolve as milestones are reached and new needs emerge.
Who you will meet with
- Medical staff: The medical team consists of a medical director, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and registered nurses who provide 24-hour support during withdrawal management (detox) and residential treatment.
- Clinical team: Clients work with an individual therapist, master's-level group clinicians, and family therapists when family programming is taking place.
- Support services: A case manager helps coordinate care, discharge planning, and transitioning between levels of care.
Typical schedule
- Morning and midday: In the morning and midday clients wake up and have breakfast followed by a goal-setting group, primary clinical group, and psychoeducation sessions.
- Afternoon: Art therapy, relapse prevention, coping skills training, life skills development, and additional psychoeducation groups round out the afternoon programming.
- Evening: Clients have dinner in the evenings in addition to recovery homework assigned by therapists, recovery meetings or outside recovery speaker panel, and process groups. Medication is administered as needed before lights out for bedtime.
- Clinical approaches: Treatment may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-focused counseling, relapse prevention therapy, and family therapy.
Living experiences and amenities
- Living accommodations: Residential housing consists of small villas. Clients have private bedrooms and bathrooms. The villas also have shared common areas and kitchens that create a more home-like environment.
- Food and wellness: Meals are prepared by an executive chef and served at the villa daily. Wellness services and activities may include yoga, acupuncture, massage therapy, meditation, and nutrition counseling.
- Recreational activities: Clients may take part in off-site recovery-focused activities, community outings, and recovery meetings. Seasonal experiential programming may include equine therapy opportunities.
Aftercare
- Step-down care: Clients can move between medical detox, residential treatment, PHP, IOP, and outpatient care as their needs and progress change.
- Discharge planning and aftercare: Discharge planning starts during treatment, helping clients get ready for their recovery after they leave the program. Aftercare services may include peer support, self-help groups, outcome follow-up, housing and social service resources, and naloxone education for overdose prevention.
