Full Continuum of Care

Empower Wellness Institute of Nevada provides a full continuum of substance use care for adults. Clients can start with withdrawal management (detox), move into short- or long-term residential treatment with 24/7 support, and step down into outpatient day treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), or regular outpatient care. This range of options helps people stay connected to treatment as their needs and daily responsibilities change.

Withdrawal Management and Medications for Addiction Treatment

The facility offers medical withdrawal management for alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methamphetamines, and opioids, with both residential and outpatient services. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be administered as needed, along with medications for mental health, nicotine cessation, HIV, and hepatitis C. Clients who already receive MAT elsewhere can continue care at Empower Wellness, which can reduce disruptions that might otherwise derail recovery.

Support for Trauma, Chronic Pain, and Complex Needs

Care is available for people whose substance use is intertwined with mental health concerns and other challenges. The program treats co-occurring substance use and serious mental illness, and offers trauma-related counseling, anger management, and services for people who have experienced sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, or other trauma. Treatment plans support veterans, active-duty military, older adults, criminal justice–involved clients, and people managing chronic pain, HIV, or AIDS. Suicide prevention services and crisis intervention help address higher-risk situations quickly and directly.

Counseling, Family Involvement, and Recovery Skills

Treatment combines evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, the Matrix Model, 12-step work, and community reinforcement. Clients can participate in individual, group, and family or couples counseling, along with psychoeducation and health education. Social skills development, vocational training, and educational support help people rebuild confidence at work or school while they work on their recovery.

Practical Aftercare

The program emphasizes services that make it easier to start and stay in care. Comprehensive assessments, outreach, and interim services help people get connected quickly. Case management links clients to housing services and social services, while employment counseling or training supports financial stability. Recovery coaches, mentoring and peer support, self-help groups, and aftercare or outcome follow-up provide ongoing connection after discharge. Telehealth therapy and transportation assistance help clients attend appointments even when distance, mobility, or schedules might otherwise be a barrier.
