Men’s-Only Recovery Environment
The center provides residential treatment tailored just for men, focusing on male-related issues and life experiences. This creates a stigma-free environment where men can engage in open discussion with peers, receive community support, and build mutual accountability. Men participate in small group sessions, as well as individual therapy in a private setting, to address both substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Nature-Based Healing and Comfortable Amenities
The center’s natural surroundings provide views of granite outcrops and wooded trails. Men enjoy outdoor activities twice per week and have frequent opportunities to simply enjoy the great outdoors and connect with nature. Indoor amenities include communal lounges with sofas, TVs, Xbox consoles, and board games to unwind with peers. Meals are chef‑prepared and served pantry‑style three times per day, with a snack bar available 24/7.
Onsite Equine-Assisted Therapy
The equine-assisted therapy program allows clients to interact with horses in a meaningful way. The program is non-riding, and instead focuses on activities such as petting and leading, as well as caretaking tasks like grooming and feeding. Working with horses in this manner can encourage emotional regulation, build trust, and create a sense of connection and calm. The horses’ sensitivity to human behavior helps clients recognize emotional patterns, manage anxiety, and build confidence.
Indoor and Outdoor Experiential Therapies
The program offers a range of hands-on, experiential therapies. Men participate in yoga, meditation, art therapy, music therapy, and journaling to help process emotions and support mindfulness. Structured outdoor activities include ropes courses, camping, and kayaking. These group activities help build trust, resilience, and team dynamics, encouraging personal growth by helping clients safely explore challenges, reflect on behavior patterns, and get in touch with themselves.
12-Step Focus with Spiritual Support
Twelve-step principles are integrated into daily care plans through structured meetings, step work, and peer-led discussions. Men attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) groups and participate in support sessions that emphasize shared experiences and mutual accountability. Spiritual support is offered in optional groups that explore values and purpose. This framework helps men build a committed, recovery-oriented mindset rooted in connection.
Patient Reviews
Clients often note the personalized care and the positive impact of chef-prepared meals and trauma-informed therapy. Some appreciate the community feel of shared accommodations. Others note that the facility does not offer luxury features, which aligns with its focus on structured, purposeful recovery.
