The program uses a modified therapeutic community model and provides on-site housing and meals. Recovery Built Through a Therapeutic Community
Striver House operates as a modified therapeutic community, where the day-to-day social environment is central to the recovery process. Peers and staff work together to reinforce accountability, mutual support, and personal responsibility. This model emphasizes “right living” and uses shared routines and role-modeling to support sustained personal change.
Coordinated Medical, Psychiatric, and Counseling Support
An interdisciplinary team, including registered nurses, licensed social workers, and certified alcohol and substance abuse counselors, provides services tailored to different diagnoses and levels of functioning. Care includes screening and assessment, ongoing psychiatric and nursing support, medication administration and observation, and individual, group, and family counseling.
Practical Planning for Stability After Treatment
The program pairs treatment with planning for next steps, including case management, discharge planning, and referrals to substance use and mental health aftercare. Vocational training and educational support are integrated into daily programming to help clients build skills and structure they can carry into community reentry.
