Integrated Co-Occurring Care

Based in Dover, New Hampshire, this private nonprofit specializes in treating substance use and mental health together. Dually licensed clinicians use evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, trauma-related counseling, substance use counseling, and 12-step facilitation. Care is delivered by a unified treatment team in one setting, rather than sending people to separate programs.

Outpatient Counseling That Fits Daily Life

Outpatient services are structured to fit around work, school, and family obligations. Clients can schedule individual, group, and family psychotherapy during daytime or evening hours. Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors provide substance use evaluations, including court-ordered assessments, and impaired driver aftercare for people working to restore their driving privileges. The program also supports people stepping down from more intensive levels of care, such as residential treatment or another intensive outpatient program (IOP), so they can continue with clinical support. Walk-ins are welcome.

Drug Court and Justice-Focused Programming

The Drug Court Intensive Outpatient Program serves adults in Strafford County who are referred through the local Drug Court. Participants move through progressive treatment levels with clearly defined objectives, including learning relapse-prevention strategies and building an effective personal recovery program. Components can include individual and group therapy, educational lectures, recovery-related assignments, an intensive relapse-prevention track, and attendance at self-help meetings such as 12-step. The organization also offers a specially designed program for DUI/DWI clients and provides services for other justice-involved or forensic clients, helping them meet court requirements while working on recovery.

Recovery Supports, Health Education, and Telehealth

Services extend beyond counseling to address the broader support people often need in recovery. Case management, housing services, and help obtaining social services can help clients secure more stable living situations. Recovery resources include self-help groups, mentoring and peer support, and aftercare and continuing care planning. Employment counseling and training help clients pursue work or re-enter the workforce. Naloxone and overdose education promote safety for clients and families. Telemedicine and telehealth therapy options make it easier to stay connected to care.
