Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults looking for detox, residential treatment, and outpatient programs in one location; have co-occurring or primary mental health conditions; looking for structured clinical care balanced with holistic approaches; want trauma-focused programming; have private insurance, TRICARE, or are able to self-pay.

  • Not a fit if: Need acute, hospital-level treatment; want a self-directed treatment approach; looking for private, luxury accommodations; have Medicaid, Medicare, or are uninsured and unable to self-pay.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Assessments and admissions: Before admission, clients complete a 15-to-30-minute phone assessment to determine the right level of care for their needs. Once they arrive, physical and psychological evaluations are performed.
  • Collaborative planning: Master’s-level therapists work with clients to create a personalized treatment plan. This is based on individual needs and goals.

Who you will meet with

  • Master’s-level therapists: Lead one-on-one and group sessions using evidence-based approaches.
  • Doctors and nurses: Take care of health needs and provide 24/7 medical monitoring during withdrawal management (detox).
  • Psychiatric professionals: An in-house psychiatric nurse practitioner works with clients with primary and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Case managers: Assist with practical matters such as housing and employment, aiming for clients to have a stable environment to return to after treatment ends.

Typical schedule

  • Residential care: Days start around 8 a.m. From Monday to Friday, therapists hold a 1.5-hour primary group. Clients also attend meetings with medical staff and case managers. Groups and weekly individual sessions involve a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), yoga, meditation, and educational workshops such as life skills and nutrition.
  • Outpatient programs: The partial hospitalization program (PHP) is held Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) is offered Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. These programs also involve evidence-based methods and holistic therapies. Community speakers visit on Fridays, and Fridays also have life skills workshops on the agenda. Clients have choices on which sessions to attend.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Shared accommodations: Rooms are usually shared between two clients. A TV is in every room, as well as personal lockboxes for secure storage of belongings.
  • Meals and recreation: Meals are organically prepared and catered. During free time, clients can go hiking. There is also time allotted for clients to visit an off-site private gym.
  • Communication and visitation: Family members can visit on weekends. These visits must be pre-approved and scheduled with a case manager. For the first 8 days of treatment, clients can make calls on the facility phone. After 8 days, they can use their personal cell phones and laptops on a structured basis.

Aftercare

  • Step-down treatment: The facility offers withdrawal management, residential treatment, PHP, and IOP, allowing clients to step up or down between care levels without switching providers. With all these programs combined, treatment lasts up to approximately 90 days.
  • Case management: Before discharge, case managers help clients create a long-term recovery plan. This can include referrals to outside providers such as therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists.

How we research treatment facilities

Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.

Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:

- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.

- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.

- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.

- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.

Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.

How we evaluate treatment facilities

These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.

We cannot guarantee the quality of treatment at any facility. We cannot independently confirm the accuracy of every data point, and some information may become outdated or change over time. A Trust Score is a starting point, not a guarantee of treatment quality or outcomes. Please contact us if you would like to update or correct facility information.
