Community-Based Care for Every Stage of Recovery
Founded in 1969, Keystone Substance Abuse Services serves as York County’s central resource for treatment, prevention, and recovery. Its main campus, Youth Center, and Prevention Center allow people to access help close to home. As a nonprofit, Keystone provides affordable, evidence-based care through grants, insurance partnerships, and sliding-scale payment plans, ensuring finances never stand in the way of recovery.
Integrated Treatment and Medical Support
Keystone offers 24-hour withdrawal management with nursing and medical supervision to ensure client safety during detoxification. Residential care focuses on women’s recovery, including expectant and postpartum mothers who receive priority admission. The facility also provides outpatient and intensive outpatient programs that combine individual, group, and family therapy with ongoing recovery management. Integrated treatment addresses both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions to promote lasting stability.
Specialized Programs and Real-World Impact
Programs are designed to meet clients where they are. Gender-responsive services, such as Women of Substance and Men Under Construction, build life skills, address trauma, and strengthen family and work readiness. The Journey program supports young adults through therapy, peer support, and access to medications for addiction treatment (MAT). Keystone also offers DUI/ADSAP, legal, and workplace evaluations to help clients rebuild daily life while progressing in recovery.
Whole-Person Support and Community Connection
Beyond treatment, Keystone helps clients navigate housing, employment, and social services, with transportation assistance and peer mentoring available. Its onsite HIV education and testing program offers rapid testing and prevention education. The facility’s multi-building campus features accessible entrances, indoor lounges, and flexible therapy spaces. Through education, aftercare, and outcome tracking, Keystone continues to evolve its programs, helping individuals and families in Rock Hill find strength, connection, and hope in recovery.
