A Step-Down Transitional Approach

Fellowship Houses provides a continuum of care designed to help clients build lasting recovery beyond the walls of traditional rehab. Starting with Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and progressing through Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP) services, the program supports every stage of the healing process. Residential services are available for young adult men ages 18 to 35, while outpatient care serves adults of all ages. Treatment combines structured clinical therapy with real-world readiness, encouraging participants to pursue education, employment, and independence as part of recovery.

Supportive Housing for Young Men

Residential care at Fellowship Houses’ Willow House focuses on helping men navigate the early months of sobriety with dignity, structure, and peer support. The program accommodates up to 40 residents who begin in PHP and gradually step down to lower-intensity services. The facility offers a communal, home-like environment and promotes active engagement in the local recovery community. Residents live together in a city-based setting near schools, churches, and recreational areas, reinforcing real-world accountability while maintaining therapeutic oversight.

Evidence-Based and Trauma-Informed Treatment

Care plans integrate a wide range of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and 12-step facilitation. Specialized services are available for clients with trauma histories, co-occurring pain and substance use disorders, and those using medications for addiction treatment (prescribed externally). Clients participate in group therapy up to three times daily, weekly individual counseling, and recreational or “adventure trek” therapies.

Family Involvement and Long-Term Engagement

The program encourages family involvement through education groups and therapy sessions when appropriate. Parents and loved ones can attend weekly support meetings, even if their family member discontinues treatment. For young adults, staff can guide families on setting boundaries and maintaining communication. Post-treatment, the program continues to engage clients through step-down outpatient services, sober living options, and relapse prevention planning. This extended support helps clients stay connected and accountable as they transition into independent living.

Community and Accessibility

Residential clients participate in community-based recovery activities and weekend outings that promote social connection and accountability. For those facing transportation barriers, the facility offers assistance to ensure consistent access to treatment. Clients are also encouraged to pursue employment, volunteer opportunities, or education while in the program, with staff support available to help them navigate those steps.
