24-Hour Withdrawal Management and Inpatient Stabilization
Cornerstone of Rhinebeck provides 24-hour withdrawal management (detox) and short-term residential care for adults seeking help for substance use disorders. Clients receive medical monitoring from licensed physicians and nurses, along with comprehensive evaluation and clinical services in a residential setting. Withdrawal management supports detox from alcohol and other drugs, including opioids, stimulants, and benzodiazepines, with medications used as part of withdrawal protocols when clinically appropriate.
Federally Certified Opioid Treatment Program With Medication Support
This location operates as a federally certified opioid treatment program (OTP) and offers medications for addiction treatment (MAT) as part of care. Services include methadone maintenance, buprenorphine maintenance, and relapse prevention support with naltrexone, including extended-release injectable forms. The program also provides medically supervised withdrawal after stabilization and uses withdrawal medications such as clonidine and lofexidine.
Individualized Counseling, Trauma Support, and Family Services
Each client is assigned a primary clinician who develops an individualized treatment plan based on a thorough evaluation. Counseling services include individual, group, and family counseling, along with trauma-related counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, contingency management/motivational incentives, and anger management. Educational programming includes substance use disorder education, health education, smoking/tobacco cessation counseling, and a nutritional program. Family services support loved ones in understanding substance use as a family disease and help reduce stress in the home.
Recovery Support, Health Screening, and Discharge Planning
Care includes discharge planning and aftercare/continuing care, with referrals to additional levels of inpatient or outpatient treatment within and outside the Cornerstone Treatment Facilities Network. Ongoing recovery support includes self-help groups, peer support and mentoring, recovery coaching, housing services, and transportation assistance. The program also provides naloxone and overdose education, outcome follow-up after discharge, and health screening and testing services such as breathalyzer or blood alcohol testing, drug/alcohol urine screening, HIV and STD testing, TB screening, and hepatitis B and C testing.
