Flexible access to opioid treatment

The facility offers a Bridge to Opiate Recovery program that provides outpatient MAT for opioid use disorder using a harm reduction approach. Clients can begin recovery while stabilizing on medication without completely stopping substance use prior to receiving support. Referrals are not required, and clients can contact the facility directly, enter through an emergency department referral, or transition into care after inpatient or residential treatment.

Integrated addiction and medical care

The outpatient substance use treatment includes IOP. The appropriate level of care is determined using the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria. Medications for addiction treatment are paired with individual and group counseling and behavioral therapies. Physicians and nurse practitioners can also provide physical exams, health screenings, and lab testing in addition to general medical care. This allows clients to receive care for their substance use and physical health needs in the same program.

Peer and case management support

Clients have access to peer support that provides opportunities to connect and learn with other clients who have lived recovery experience. Case managers are available to help clients access additional services they may need, such as housing, transportation, social services, insurance enrollment, employment, and other vocational needs.

Additional recovery support

Acupuncture and auricular acupuncture are available during treatment to help with post-acute withdrawal symptoms, pain, and cravings. Optional spiritual counseling is also available for interested clients. A chaplain provides individual guidance and facilitates groups for clients interested in Narcotics Anonymous (NA). The Rapid Response Emergency Addiction and Crisis Team (RREACT) and Heroin Overdose Prevention and Education (HOPE) programs provide community-based crisis and outreach support as well.
