Long-term, Trauma-Informed Care for Women
The program offers five to eight months of structured residential care for women recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. The program is designed specifically for women, including those who are pregnant or postpartum, and offers a safe, supportive space to address past trauma. With only 16 residents treated at one time, care is adapted to each client’s needs and delivered in a quiet, homelike setting.
Keeping Mothers and Children Together
The center allows mothers to bring their children under the age of 10 to live with them during treatment. This unique option helps women stay connected to their families while focusing on recovery. Children receive onsite mental and behavioral health counseling, and staff work closely with local agencies to support reunification and long-term family wellness. While space for children is limited, the center also partners with community resources to help maintain healthy parent-child relationships when children cannot reside on-site. Parenting support and family counseling are core parts of treatment.
Faith-Informed, Evidence-Based Healing
While the program operates from a Christian faith-based perspective, participation in spiritual activities is optional, and all clients are welcomed with respect. Treatment includes evidence-based therapies and 12-step facilitation. Clients explore topics like trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention in both individual and group sessions. This mind-body-spirit model allows women to direct their own healing process within a supportive, values-aligned environment.
Services That Support Long-Term Recovery
Each client’s stay begins with a full mental health and substance use assessment to guide an adapted treatment plan. Services include parenting classes, relapse prevention, trauma counseling, and life skills training. Women receive support in navigating housing, employment, and social services, with case management integrated throughout treatment. Peer mentoring and access to self-help groups reinforce recovery goals, while discharge planning and outcome follow-up help maintain progress after leaving the program.
