Live-In Treatment That Keeps Mothers and Young Children Together

This residential program allows pregnant and postpartum women to stay on-site with infants and toddlers while they receive intensive substance use treatment. The setting is in Manhattan Valley, close to Central Park, with shared bedroom suites and family-oriented spaces designed for day-to-day living with young children.

Built-In Child and Family Support That Helps Clients Stay Engaged

On-site childcare is available 24/7 so clients can attend scheduled clinical services and groups. The program also offers pediatric education with nursing support, plus age-specific nurseries for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Outdoor areas, including a backyard and shared terrace, provide space for play and fresh air.

Parenting-Focused Therapy and Practical Skill Building

Clinical services include individual counseling, group therapy, family counseling, and parent-child therapeutic interventions. Groups and seminars cover relapse prevention, healthy relationships, anger management, and trauma-informed work such as Seeking Safety, alongside parenting-focused offerings like “Mommy & Me” and nurturing parenting groups. Clients can also use the computer lab for job searches, work readiness, and equivalency test preparation, with additional groups that may include daily living skills, mindfulness activities, creative arts, and movement options like Zumba.

Coordinated, Multidisciplinary Care and Advocacy When Family Systems Are Involved

Support is delivered by a multidisciplinary team that includes case management, family therapy, medical and nursing staff, recovery coaching, vocational counseling, and childcare specialists. When reunification is part of a family’s situation, staff coordinate with custodial families and relevant child welfare and family court systems. The program also partners with community addiction medicine providers to support clients who need medications for addiction treatment (MAT).
