Adult Residential Services provides 24-hour residential treatment for adults in a supportive, home-like setting in Marquette, Michigan. Operated by Great Lakes Recovery Centers, the program offers a structured community environment focused on accountability and connection. Residents share meals, engage in daily routines, and participate in group activities that build social skills and peer support. The facility includes comfortable lounges, reading areas, a bright dining room, and landscaped outdoor walking spaces with garden beds that create a peaceful atmosphere for recovery.

Clinically Managed Withdrawal and Medical Support

For individuals entering treatment with withdrawal needs, the facility provides clinically managed detox. Staff monitor symptoms, manage medications, and provide clinical and emotional support to promote a safe, stable transition into residential care. Each client is evaluated by a physician at intake, and medical providers are on-site three days per week for exams and consultations.

Integrated and Individualized Care

Treatment at Adult Residential Services addresses both substance use and co-occurring mental health needs, with programming designed to support mind, body, and spirit. Residents participate in evidence-based therapies, including group and individual counseling, and can engage in multiple recovery pathways. Care incorporates 12-Step and SMART Recovery models, along with optional chaplain-led spiritual care for clients of any or no faith background, encouraging each person to explore what recovery approach works best for them.

Transition Planning and Community Reintegration

From admission onward, staff collaborate with residents to prepare for life after treatment. Each individual works with a counselor to develop a personalized recovery plan that includes relapse-prevention skills, housing or employment resources, and connections to ongoing community support. Payment assistance and insurance coordination are available through GLRC’s Access Center to make treatment accessible to all who qualify.
