24/7 Medical Detox with Onsite Nursing Support
Located in Bartow on Highway 60, this program provides 24/7 withdrawal management (detox) with medically supervised support. Nurses and direct care staff are onsite to help clients stabilize during withdrawal from alcohol and other substances, including opioids, stimulants (such as cocaine and methamphetamines), and benzodiazepines. Smoking is allowed at scheduled times, and vaping is not permitted.
Phone Screening Anytime, with a Clear Intake Process
Admissions starts with a phone screening that can be completed at any time, and the person seeking detox completes the screening call. After arrival, staff complete a nursing assessment to confirm medical stability, along with a medical history review and physical assessment. The team also completes evaluations that identify strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences and assesses severity, which helps shape the next steps in care. Services are provided to adults who live in Hardee, Highlands, and Polk Counties.
Counseling, Case Management, and Medications for Addiction Treatment
Clients receive a treatment plan developed with their care team, along with individual and group counseling. Support includes case management, mental health services, substance use education, and smoking and tobacco cessation counseling. The program provides medications for addiction treatment (MAT) for opioid and alcohol use disorders and accepts clients who use MAT prescribed elsewhere. Transportation assistance is available to support access to care.
Transitional Housing and Discharge Planning from Day One
For clients who complete detox but do not have stable housing while waiting for admission to another residential setting, Detox Residential Level III provides a short-term transitional stay. This level offers a safe environment to continue the recovery process with counseling and case management while coordinating next-step treatment. Discharge planning begins at admission and connects clients with community resources such as housing, transportation, and employment support.
