Recovery First Treatment Center offers a full continuum of care, including detox, inpatient, outpatient, and aftercare, with specialized programs for veterans, first responders, and healthcare professionals. Clients also find a variety of group therapy options that cater to their unique needs, including 12-Step and secular groups. A focus on structured schedules, communal living, and building clients’ toolbox of skills – from meal planning to mindfulness – sets the foundation for recovery during and after treatment.

Cozy, Structured, and Sober Setting

  • For residential treatment, clients live in 2-person bedrooms with two to three bedrooms in each unit, separate from the detox living arrangements.
  • Communal setting makes it easy to watch TV, play foosball and table tennis, and cook family-style meals with peers.
  • Fitness center and green outdoor space with patio and shaded seating encourage mindfulness and self-improvement.
  • Residential clients receive weekly grocery shopping stipend and contribute to chores and cooking meals.

Treatment for Any Level of Recovery

  • Individualized treatment plans – some of which include Medication-Assisted Treatment – may combine medical detox, inpatient/residential treatment, outpatient treatment, telehealth outpatient treatment, discharge planning, aftercare, and co-occurring disorder treatment.
  • Treatment curriculum often includes therapies to support the emotions and experiences often affiliated with addiction, including process group therapy, motivational interviewing, and therapy for anger management, grief and loss, and guilt and shame.
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) allows clients to live at home while engaging in treatment 5-7 days per week from 9am-4pm.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets three evenings per week to continue exploring and processing learnings from residential treatment in a group setting, oftentimes with those in residential treatment at the same time.

Dedicated Support for Veterans, First Responders, and Healthcare Professionals

  • Specific therapies for veterans in residential treatment include a pain management group and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), emphasizing camaraderie, healing, and trust.
  • Therapists lead group therapy sessions for first responders in recovery, teaching clients to process the challenges of their jobs, constant exposure to trauma, life-threatening situations, and physical strains of their career.
  • The Healthcare Professionals Treatment Program is designed for a range of medical professionals and supports their recovery through trauma-related incidents, burnout, incredibly high expectations, unique access to medications, and concerns around licensing and ability to continue working in the medical field.
  • Aftercare planning provides clients with a case manager to facilitate reintroduction into life outside of residential treatment and offers weekly and monthly meetings with fellow treatment alumni.
