Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults want medical detox, residential treatment, and outpatient step-down care in one program; value a smaller, more personal setting with apartment-style living rather than a hospital feel; need treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions; want trauma-informed care, family involvement, and practical life-skills work alongside therapy; have private insurance or can self-pay.
Not a fit if: Those looking for luxury accommodations or highly private single-room living; want a fully independent outpatient-only experience without structure or step-down planning; are not comfortable with shared living, group treatment, or community responsibilities; need payment options beyond private insurance or self pay.
What to expect
Typical schedule
- Detox: Medical detox includes 24/7 nursing support with comfort checks every 15 minutes, along with ongoing monitoring from medical staff.
- PHP: Partial hospitalization runs Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- IOP: Daytime IOP sessions run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. three to five days per week. Evening IOP runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- Residential living: Residential care is structured around therapy, daily routines, and shared responsibilities in apartment-style housing, with a focus on practicing recovery skills in everyday life. Throughout treatment, clients participate in individual, group, and family therapy, relapse prevention work, life-skills groups, and complementary services such as yoga, meditation, art therapy, music therapy, and pet therapy.
Developing your care plan
- Pre-admission screening: Admission starts with a phone screening covering medical history, mental health, substance use, and other client needs.
- Ongoing assessments: Once admitted, staff continue monitoring symptoms, comfort, and progress, especially during detox, and adjust the plan as needed.
- Personalized treatment: Plans can incorporate evidence-based care such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), EMDR, motivational interviewing, rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), trauma-focused groups such as Seeking Safety, pain management support, and life-skills training, depending on individual needs.
Who you will meet with
- Medical staff: Nurses and physicians provide round-the-clock medical support during detox.
- Clinical team: Clients work with clinicians trained in CBT, motivational interviewing, and EMDR, along with staff who support co-occurring mental health treatment.
- Family support: Family and couples therapy are encouraged as part of treatment when appropriate.
Living experiences and amenities
- Apartment-style housing: Clients live in shared apartments (typically 2–3 bedrooms) with access to a kitchen, living room, and common spaces, supporting a more independent environment.
- Daily living: Treatment includes practicing everyday responsibilities such as cooking, grocery planning, and shared chores to build stability and routine.
- Comfortable, community-based setting: The environment is designed to feel more like a home than a hospital, with shared spaces that encourage connection and peer support.
- Wellness and recreation: Amenities include a fitness center, outdoor areas, recreation spaces, and meditation areas to support physical and emotional well-being.
Aftercare
- Step-down care: Clients can continue into PHP, IOP, outpatient, and virtual treatment within the same system.
- Ongoing connection: Alumni support includes the CARE program, weekly meetings, special events, and the Connections app for peer support and accountability.
- Discharge planning: Planning includes connection to therapy, recovery meetings, and community support after treatment.
