Square Medical Group/COE River House provides 24-hour, long-term residential treatment for adult men whose primary concern is substance use alongside co-occurring mental health conditions. The program is designed for individuals who are able to participate in a structured setting, are willing to engage voluntarily in treatment, and do not require acute detox services. Care is delivered in a community-oriented residence that supports routine, accountability, and gradual reintegration into daily life.

Trauma-Informed, Harm-Reduction Treatment Model

The program is grounded in trauma-informed care and harm reduction, using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and trauma-related counseling. Medication care is integrated into treatment, including support for medications for addiction treatment (MAT) and medications for mental health conditions. Prescribing and coordination may occur on-site or through in-network or contracted providers, depending on individual needs.

The program includes discharge planning and aftercare coordination, along with recovery supports such as help accessing housing services, employment counseling or training, peer support, and social services. Transportation assistance helps residents stay connected to follow-up care and community-based resources.
