Women’s Residential Treatment

Pathway House – Women’s Program offers gender-specific residential care in a supportive, home-like setting. The Rochester location provides convenient access to social services, employment opportunities, and the Mayo Clinic, while the residence itself emphasizes safety, accountability, and dignity. This environment is designed for women to rebuild routines and stability while working toward recovery.

Relapse Prevention and 12-Step Integration

Programming is based on the twelve steps and structured around the Six Dimensions of care, with emphasis on relapse potential and recovery environment. Residents develop personalized relapse-prevention plans, complete assignments, attend community AA/NA meetings, and work with sponsors. This approach helps women identify triggers, practice coping strategies, and strengthen accountability for long-term sobriety.

Structured Care With Real-Life Balance

The program combines 16 hours of group therapy with weekly individual counseling, supported by 24/7 supervision and access to a licensed counselor. With an average stay of 90 days, residents are encouraged to pursue work, school, or volunteer opportunities while in treatment. House expectations, such as curfews, daily responsibilities, and participation in meals, create structure and reinforce readiness for independent living after discharge.

Integrated Services and Supportive Setting

Pathway House provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma counseling, motivational interviewing, anger management, and medications for addiction treatment. The program also connects residents to medical and psychiatric referrals, case management, peer mentoring, and employment counseling. Special support is available for pregnant and postpartum women, women with co-occurring disorders, and those with trauma histories or justice involvement. Living accommodations include single or shared rooms, an onsite cook, and a private yard, offering both comfort and structure for sustainable recovery.
