Located in Minneapolis’s Whittier neighborhood, NUWAY I provides medium-intensity residential care for male-identifying adults. The setting combines structure and an approachable model, offering 24-hour staff support and medical monitoring in a home-like environment. Integrated Mental Health and Substance Use Care

Treatment at NUWAY I addresses substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders together. Care is trauma-informed and responsive to individuals managing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and related challenges. Clients participate in individual and group therapy that helps them identify triggers, develop practical coping skills, and build strategies for maintaining progress after treatment. Most programs last about 30 days, with flexible length based on each person’s needs.

Beyond therapy, residents have access to peer mentoring, case management, family psychoeducation, suicide-prevention resources, and integrated primary care.
