Overview

Call715-690-3212 WebsiteVisit Website

Structured residential treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions with a 1:8 counselor to client ratio in a home-style setting on a wooded property. Residential, intensive outpatient (IOP), and sober living options are available under one program. The 42-day program blends a strong 12-step foundation with evidence-based therapies. It offers a “Way of Life” curriculum. This approach blends trauma-focused care with relapse prevention. As a result, it provides a well-rounded path to recovery. This facility accepts private insurance, self-pay, Minnesota Medicaid (not Wisconsin Medicaid), select government funding, and offers payment plans for its 42-day residential program.

Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults who want highly structured residential recovery; are comfortable with communal living and peer-based support; are open to 12-step recovery; need treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions alongside substance use; or are looking for residential, IOP, and sober living options under one organization.

  • Not a fit if: Adults who need medical detox services; prefer a non-12-step approach; want luxury accommodations or high privacy; need regular access to personal electronics; or prefer a less structured treatment environment.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Initial assessment and treatment planning: Comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments are conducted during the admissions process. This is intended to help guide individualized treatment and to determine level of care. Clients entering for alcohol use must arrive sober and pass a breathalyzer upon admission.
  • Collaborative and structured recovery approach: Treatment planning involves psychiatric and clinical support staff working together and with the client for the duration of their stay to determine evolving treatment needs. Plans integrate group recovery work, psychiatric support, peer-based recovery groups, and trauma-focused counseling. Care is adjusted based on participation, progress, and ongoing recovery needs.

Who you will meet with

  • Clinical and psychiatric support: Clients work with psychiatrists, nurses, licensed counselors, and behavioral health technicians throughout treatment for therapy, psychiatric support, recovery planning, and daily care.
  • Individual, group, and residential recovery support: Weekly individual counseling is coupled with group therapy and peer-based recovery work in addition to guidance from a dietitian that may be available when clinically appropriate.

Typical schedule

  • Structured weekday and weekend schedule: Treatment follows a highly structured daily routine beginning around 7:00 AM with wake-up, breakfast, medication distribution, and daily reflection before transitioning into morning and afternoon programming. Evenings typically include dinner from 5:00 - 6:00 PM, AA/NA-type recovery meetings, downtime, and bedtime around 10:00 PM. Weekends follow a more relaxed pace with recreation, independent recovery work, yoga, optional church services, and extended curfew on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Therapy, recovery education, and experiential programming: Clients participate in daily group therapy, relapse prevention education, trauma-focused counseling, process groups, 12-step programming, Making Alcoholics Anonymous Easier (MAAEZ) recovery groups, guided imagery, psychodrama, yoga, and wellness activities intended to support emotional regulation, recovery skills, and longer-term recovery.
  • Recreation and in-person visitation: Volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, fitness groups, outdoor walks, and seasonal outings are some of the recreational activities that may be available depending on seasonality. Weekend visitation periods are typically held Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 - 4:00 PM after the initial adjustment period.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Residential setting and shared living environment: Treatment takes place in a home-style residential setting on a wooded property with shared bedrooms housing 2–3 clients per room, dorm-style bathrooms with dressers and provided closet space. Men and women’s living areas are separate and designed to support peer connection and community accountability.
  • Communication, visitation, and residential policies: Personal electronics and cell phones are not permitted during treatment, though house phones are available during designated breaks, and virtual visitation may begin during the second weekend of treatment. Approved in-person visitation is typically introduced during week three during the facility's scheduled weekend visitation hours.

Aftercare

  • Step-down treatment and recovery continuity: Clients may transition through residential treatment, day or evening intensive outpatient programming (IOP), and sober living under the same facility. This helps to support long-term recovery.
  • Discharge planning and ongoing recovery support Individualized discharge plans are started during treatment. Clients may participate in continued therapy, relapse prevention planning, and continued connection to peer recovery and 12-step support communities after completing residential treatment.

Questions about daily life, costs, policies, and payment options were answered clearly. It felt natural and not scripted. The representative also noted when more clinical follow-up was needed for technical questions. This made the interaction feel clear and informed.
