Specialized Recovery Tracks

Keystone Treatment Center offers several dedicated treatment programs. The Native American program incorporates cultural elements into care, such as songs, prayers, and sweat lodge-style purification ceremonies. Military programming includes therapy adapted to service-related trauma, including PTSD. The young adult recovery track is designed to help clients face age-specific challenges such as independence and peer pressure. Clients who want to participate in Christian faith-based recovery can attend church services on Sundays and receive counseling in an on-site chapel room. Specialized care is also provided for clients with opioid and methamphetamine dependence.

Detox and Residential Treatment

Medically monitored withdrawal management (detox) is offered at the same location as residential care. In this initial phase, clients receive 24/7 medical support from nurses, and can be prescribed medications for addiction treatment (MAT) when appropriate to ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Once they enter residential care, clients work with staff to create a treatment plan adapted to their specific needs. This includes care for any co-occurring mental health conditions. Residential programming is structured and meant to keep clients engaged throughout the day. The length of time that clients stay is flexible based on their progress, needs, and goals.

12-Step, Evidence-Based, and Experiential Therapies

The Twelve Steps are a foundational part of the treatment approach. This includes attending meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA). Clients also participate in frequent group sessions, as well as individual and family counseling, based around methods including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). This is complemented by experiential outdoor therapies and creative expression.

Family Support

When a client desires, loved ones can join them in a two-day family program that focuses on education around communication, setting boundaries, and recovery support. Visitation hours are held on Sundays so that families can stay connected while the client works on their recovery.

Aftercare

After residential treatment, clients can step down to Keystone outpatient programs. These include partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and regular outpatient sessions. Staff help clients develop discharge plans that fit their needs, with referrals to services such as ongoing therapy or recovery coaching. An alumni program hosts events and reunions, keeping peers connected long-term.
