Tailored Care for Women

The Rochester Women’s Center offers licensed short-term residential care, a 12-month recovery program, and flexible outpatient services. Programs address both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions through therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma counseling, and twelve-step facilitation. Women can choose a faith-based track if desired, or participate in fully secular programming. Same-day assessments and walk-ins are available when space allows, helping women begin care without delay.

Programs for Mothers

Specialized tracks address the needs of mothers, including those navigating the child protection system. The CPS program combines licensed treatment with parenting workshops based on attachment theory, building stronger family bonds and practical parenting skills. The “My New Life” outpatient track supports pregnant and postpartum women through group and individual counseling, peer recovery services, and recovery-related resources such as transportation and parenting support. Both programs emphasize creating a safe, stable foundation for family reunification and long-term health.

Healing Environment and Community

Set on a sprawling campus in Rochester, the Women’s Center provides a safe, structured place for recovery. Amenities include a chapel, fitness room, outdoor gardens, and a playground for children. Clients take part in daily routines and activities like gardening, volleyball, group workshops, and therapeutic outings that reinforce coping skills in real-life settings. The community-focused environment encourages connection and mutual support, while family therapy helps repair relationships and prepare women for healthier home lives.

Support Beyond Treatment

Planning for life after treatment begins at admission. Each client’s care includes discharge planning and continuing support such as recovery coaching, vocational services, assistance with social services, naloxone and overdose education, and follow-up after discharge. Alumni programs and peer networks extend connection long after women leave campus, helping prevent isolation and reinforcing recovery. These supports ensure that clients transition back to their communities with practical tools, social stability, and a supportive recovery network.
