Who is this facility a good fit for?
- Best fit if: Adults needing medically supervised alcohol or opioid detox followed by residential treatment; people with co-occurring mental health concerns alongside substance use; adults seeking a more comfortable, upscale treatment environment with wellness amenities; individuals who benefit from structure, routine, and physical activity during recovery; people traveling from out of state for a change in environment; or clients looking for integrated psychiatric support, cell phone access, and pet-friendly treatment options.
- Not a fit if: People seeking low-cost, Medicaid-funded, or publicly funded treatment; clients wanting fully private rooms without additional cost; individuals looking for highly specialized tracks such as adolescent, veteran, or faith-based only programming; people seeking long-term residential treatment beyond standard detox and residential stays; or individuals wanting highly restrictive, no-phone treatment environments.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Admissions and first days in treatment: Admissions are available immediately when beds are open. A typical detox stay is 5-10 days followed by residential stays lasting 30-90 days in comfortable surroundings with structured support intended on reducing intimidation during early treatment.
- Medical detox and stabilization: Clients can expect 24/7 medical staff supervision during detox with medical and psychiatric support available. Family visitation begins after the first 5-7 days of detox. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) are available as well and can include naltrexone, buprenorphine, and methadone.
- Treatment planning and ongoing support: Treatment plans progress from detox to residential care. Clients are actively involved in plan development, goal setting, and progress discussions. These can include physical stabilization, craving management, daily routine development, and preparing for life after rehabilitation. Mental health needs are addressed with addiction treatment.
Who you will meet with
- Medical and clinical providers: Clients participating in treatment have access to medical and psychiatric providers, therapists, and substance use counselors during detox and residential care. This support may include withdrawal management, medication support, mental health care, individual and group therapy, and relapse prevention.
- Recovery support and wellness staff: Case managers and recovery staff may assist individuals through treatment and discharge planning. Wellness-focused staff or instructors may support physical wellness and recreational activities integrated into daily treatment.
Typical schedule
- Daily structure and clinical programming: Classes take place roughly every hour and a half throughout the day with group therapy, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, and 12-step meetings typically included in the daily schedule. Individual therapy sessions usually take place weekly, but additional sessions may be available based on client needs.
- Wellness and recreational activities: Individuals undergoing treatment have access to a range of wellness and recreational activities. These can include kickboxing, recreation therapy, music therapy, and art therapy. Additionally, clients may have access to a fitness center, hiking, and beach outings to help support stress reduction, emotional regulation, and routine building.
Living experiences and amenities
- Residential environment and comfort: Clients seeking comfort-based treatment with structured clinical care will find large, shared rooms with private bathrooms, individual TVs, personal headsets, and housekeeping services. The facility also features a recreation room, theater space, outdoor lounge areas, walking trails, and gourmet dining options.
- Technology access and daily-life accommodations: Clients are allowed to use cell phones and maintain internet access during treatment. This may appeal to professionals, adults with family responsibilities, or individuals concerned about complete disconnection during care. The facility also highlights pet-friendly and support-animal-friendly policies, which may help reduce barriers for individuals entering treatment.
Aftercare
- Continuing recovery support: Clients may have access to sober living support, recovery coaching, follow-up and family counseling, support meetings, and continued connection to counselors after treatment.
- Alumni and community connection: Alumni events, reunions, and online alumni groups designed to help clients stay connected with peers and community support may be available after treatment. Continuing care programming is in place to help individuals stepping down from detox and residential treatment to more independent living situations.
