Integrated Residential Care for Co-Occurring Conditions
Hanton House – Co-Occurring Enhanced (COE) provides residential treatment for adults living with both substance use and serious mental health disorders. Operated by North Suffolk Community Services, the program combines structure, compassion, and evidence-based care in an accessible, co-ed environment designed to promote dignity and recovery.
Therapeutic and Expressive Healing
Treatment focuses on practical recovery through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and trauma-related counseling. Residents also participate in expressive therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and conflict resolution groups that support emotional growth and healthy relationship-building.

Residents engage in daily responsibilities and job readiness activities that strengthen communication, accountability, and self-care. As progress is made, staff help residents apply for employment and transition smoothly back into the community, offering guidance every step of the way.
