Detox, Residential, and Mental Health
Getting through detox is the first step for many people. The clinical team provides withdrawal management (detox) on-site. This is available for a wide variety of substances. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be prescribed. Once clients are stable, it’s time to move into residential treatment. This phase usually lasts between 14 and 90 days. Ultimately, the length can be adjusted based on needs and progress. Days in residential care include a mix of evidence-based group and individual therapy, plus health and wellness. For people struggling with mental health conditions, the care team can treat these alongside substance use for a cohesive approach that can lead to more holistic recovery.
Gender-Specific Treatment, and Finding a Peer Community
This facility is co-ed. However, programming is separate for men and women. This allows clients to focus in a gender-specific environment with others who can relate to their specific life experiences. Some community elements of the program are mixed-gender as appropriate. Twelve-step work is part of the program. This ultimately creates a great opportunity for people to be a part of a supportive long-term recovery community.
Native American Wellbriety Program
Native American clients can participate in the Red Road to Wellbriety program, which combines traditional healing methods and Indigenous values with clinical treatment. This recovery track can work instead of or alongside 12-step meetings.
Beyond Residential Treatment
At this point, staff can help clients transition to step-down care such as intensive outpatient (IOP) or regular outpatient care — and connect people with outside therapy and self-help groups to help them transition more smoothly into independent living. Case managers can guide people through securing housing and accessing benefits, including social services. Importantly, they can also provide naloxone education; this helps to increase safety and awareness.
