Compass Health offers residential and outpatient treatment exclusively for adult women, including those who are pregnant or parenting. Programming combines trauma-informed therapy with care for co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. Counseling integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention, supported by telehealth options for added flexibility. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) are available for opioid, alcohol, and nicotine use disorders when clinically appropriate.

Family-Focused Environment

Located in Clinton near Truman Lake, the center provides a restorative, home-like setting where women can live with children under 12 during treatment. Onsite supports include childcare coordination, parenting education, and family therapy. Mothers receive neonatal abstinence education and access to structured group sessions that reinforce healthy routines and strengthen family bonds, helping families rebuild stability together.

Integrated Health and Prenatal Services

Care extends beyond therapy through coordinated access to primary care, dental services, and psychiatric support. Prenatal and postpartum services include referrals to OB/GYN, with pediatric coordination for well-child exams and immunizations. This integrated approach ensures women can manage both their health and their children’s while maintaining consistent engagement in treatment.

Real-World Support and Transition Planning

Each client receives case management, life-skills education, and help connecting to community resources such as WIC and social services. Employment counseling and transitional housing referrals prepare clients for sustainable recovery after discharge. Sliding-fee options for outpatient services and suicide-prevention supports help reduce barriers to care and promote long-term safety and stability.
