Family-Centered Residential Programs

Residential care is designed to protect family connections during recovery. The program includes a men’s residence and a women’s residence offering single rooms and family suites. Parents may bring children under age 10 into care, helping families heal together instead of apart. Child care services are available. Priority admission is given to pregnant clients, ensuring early access to treatment.

Bilingual Continuum of Care

The center is the only facility in Wisconsin that offers a complete continuum of substance use care in Spanish, making treatment accessible for clients who may struggle with English. Services include outpatient counseling, day treatment, and 24/7 residential care, all delivered by bilingual, bicultural staff who understand the values and challenges of the Hispanic community. This structure allows clients to move between levels of care as their needs change without losing the comfort of a familiar team.

Evidence-Based and Holistic Therapies

Treatment combines evidence-based counseling with holistic therapies to support long-term recovery. Clients participate in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and relapse prevention. Holistic care such as yoga, stress management, and art therapy helps clients process trauma and discover healthy coping skills. Parenting groups and health education are provided. For those who find strength in faith, spirituality discussions are available.

Skills Training and Case Management

Care plans integrate life skills training such as budgeting, nutrition, and communication to prepare clients for independent living after treatment. Parenting education and family support services help clients strengthen their role at home. Case management connects families to housing, medical care, and child care support as needed. Job readiness services include résumé building and interview practice.

Accessible and Affordable Treatment

As Milwaukee County’s Central Intake Unit, the program offers walk-in assessments so clients don’t face long waits and can access care when they need it. Services are free for those who qualify, and a sliding fee scale is available for others. This helps make treatment accessible to families with limited income.
