The Manor

Who is this facility a good fit for?
- Best fit if: Adults ages 25 + in early recovery who are medically stable and post-detox (not in need of acute medical detox); want highly individualized care in a small program; value privacy and an upscale residential setting; open to daily therapy and holistic wellness activities; have private insurance or can self pay.
- Not a fit if: Clients are under age 25; require acute medical detoxification or are not medically stable for residential admission; unwilling to live on campus for at least six weeks; need outpatient-only care without a residential stay; rely on Medicaid or Medicare.
What to expect
Beyond general standards, the facility places unique emphasis on:
Developing your care plan
- Admission and arrival: The care team conducts a phone assessment, including review of medical records and treatment history. Once clients arrive, staff complete a thorough evaluation to inform a personalized treatment plan.
- Treatment planning: Goals are created collaboratively with the client and reviewed regularly. The program has a minimum six-week stay, but length may be adjusted based on individual progress.
- Evidence-based therapies: Plans may include therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-informed EMDR, somatic therapy, or ketamine-assisted therapy when appropriate.
Who you will meet with
- Care team: Because the program has only 11 clients, individuals typically work with a small multidisciplinary team.
- Therapist: Each client works with a primary therapist for daily individual therapy and ongoing treatment planning.
- Psychiatrist and clinicians: A psychiatrist and nurse practitioners oversee psychiatric care, medications, and mental health needs.
- Family therapist: When appropriate, a family therapist supports family involvement and communication.
- Additional staff: Clients may also meet with clinical coaches and holistic practitioners such as yoga or massage providers.
Typical schedule
- Daytime: Clients typically wake up at 6:00 a.m. and participate in about five hours of programming. Most days include individual therapy sessions, about three hours of group therapy, and wellness activities.
- Holistic activities: Yoga, meditation, massage therapy, or fitness sessions may be scheduled throughout the day.
- Culinary program: Meals are prepared by an on-site chef team, and healthy snacks are available throughout the day.
- Evenings: Clients participate in community time, movie nights, or occasional outings, with a typical 10:00 p.m. lights-out schedule.
Living Experiences and Amenities
- Nature-filled campus: Clients stay in two large residential homes set on 40 wooded acres with plenty of space to walk.
- Private rooms: All clients stay in private bedrooms, and have the option of shared bathrooms or private luxury suites.
- Indoor relaxation: Clients can connect with peers in a living room, library, and gathering rooms, and enjoy an on-site movie theater.
- Wellness and recreation: The facility has a fully equipped gym, yoga and meditation spaces, and an outdoor pool clients can use during warmer months.
Aftercare
- Early planning: Staff help clients plan ahead for discharge, often within the first few weeks of treatment.
- Step-down care: Depending on needs and goals, clients may step down to outpatient therapy or sober living arrangements.
- Recovery support: The care team can help clients arrange ongoing therapy, psychiatric care, and recovery coaching.
Pre-Admissions Experience
We conducted a series of pre-admissions calls, the most recent on March 4, 2026, to evaluate response time, transparency, and patient experience.
When we reached out to The Manor, the admissions team was prompt, patient, and compassionate. They clearly walked through typical daily schedules, care plans, types of therapy offered, policies, and discharge planning. The conversation felt detailed and transparent, with clear explanations around cost and program specifics.
