24/7 Stabilization at the Hall Avenue Campus
The Hall Avenue location provides a 24-hour setting for people who need immediate support. Services include withdrawal management (detox) and crisis stabilization as time-limited alternatives to hospitalization for substance-related or mental health crises, with monitoring focused on safety and stabilization.
Residential Treatment with Counseling and Medication Support
After stabilization, clients can continue in residential services for substance use disorders and mental illness. The program offers individual and group counseling, plus approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-related counseling, anger management, and relapse prevention. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) and medications for mental health conditions are available, with prescribing provided through a contracted entity when needed.
Step-Down Housing Options to Support Recovery
A key differentiator is the range of housing pathways beyond treatment. The Hall Avenue program includes structured transitional living for men, focused on recovery education and preparation for independent living. The Mebane Street Recovery Home offers transitional housing for women facing homelessness. Crestview group homes provide long-term supportive housing for adults with serious mental health conditions in a home-like setting.
Practical Supports for Life After Treatment
Support services help clients stay engaged in care and navigate next steps. Offerings include case management, discharge planning, aftercare/continuing care, peer support and self-help groups, housing services, employment counseling or training, and transportation assistance. The facility also provides health-related education and screenings, and maintains smoke-free and vape-free policies. Recreational space and organized activities support relaxation, social skills, and day-to-day structure.
Client Reviews
Clients often highlight respectful, encouraging staff and an experience that supports early recovery. A smaller set of reviews raise concerns about admissions communication, wait times, and safety/oversight during detox.
- Staff & Care Experience (80% positive): Many clients describe staff as respectful and caring, with a tone that helps people feel supported rather than judged. Some reviews suggest interactions could be more consistent across shifts and roles. "The staff is top notch and really have a passion for helping people turn their lives around."
- Treatment Quality & Outcomes (80% positive): Reviews frequently point to detox and early recovery support as helpful, with several clients crediting the program for giving them practical tools to move forward. "RTSA provided withdrawal symptom treatment upon arrival making symptoms less violent."
- Facility & Environment (65% positive): Clients mention a generally comfortable setting, including appreciation for meals, while a handful of reviews describe the environment as needing better oversight in private areas. "Also, the food is home cooked."
- Support & Community: Some clients describe a strong peer/community feel that makes it easier to stay engaged in recovery, though others note that the overall experience can vary depending on staffing and program structure.
