Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults who want a structured daily routine; desire frequent individual contact with a therapist; need access to step-down care; have substance use and co-occurring mental health needs; are interested in 12-Step involvement; would benefit from a buddy system; need help preparing for life after residential care; and may be healthcare professionals seeking specialized programming.
Not a fit if: Adults who want a highly unstructured or self-directed residential experience; do not want 12-Step programming to be a part of treatment; require a private room for no additional fee; and desire unrestricted phone access during residential care.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Getting started: Clients begin admission with an assessment of substance use and current circumstances, which is used to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Treatment pathways: Programs follow one of three pathways, which include first-time treatment, relapse prevention, and mental health. Clients may participate in overlapping pathways based on their needs. Care may include individual and group therapy, coping skills and relapse prevention, family resources, and holistic support. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) may also be included when determined to be clinically appropriate.
Who you will meet with
- Care team: Each day, clients meet with an assigned therapist for individual counseling and a case manager to plan for life after treatment. Case managers may help clients coordinate outpatient care, explore supportive housing options, and address practical concerns such as leave from work. An onsite psychiatrist may be available to provide psychiatric and medication support. A nurse practitioner and nursing staff are available to help with medical needs.
- Peer support: New clients may be paired with a buddy to help them learn to navigate the facility and introduce them to others. Alumni also return for meetings to share their lived recovery experience and life after treatment.
Typical schedule
- Daily schedule: The morning starts with a meeting where clients receive a printed schedule that includes meals, pathways and recovery groups, activities, and individual meetings with their therapist and case manager. At this time, clients can also sign up for designated phone times to contact loved ones. Phone calls typically take place around 4 to 5 p.m. Outdoor breaks take place about every hour and last 15 to 20 minutes. Weekend visits with family or loved ones may be available when scheduled through the client’s therapist.
- Therapy and recovery groups: Programs include 12-Step education and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings. The relapse prevention pathway focuses on developing coping skills, while the mental health pathway addresses mental health concerns alongside substance use. Other approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-related counseling, and family therapy. Parents in Recovery and LGBTQ+ groups may also be available.
Living experiences and amenities
- Rooms and shared spaces: Standard residential rooms are shared by two clients. Private rooms may be available for an additional charge. The facility is set on a 95-bed campus arranged around a central pond with walking paths and outdoor areas. Lounges have couches, televisions, books, and puzzles.
- Activities and amenities: During their downtime, clients can spend time in the art room, attend yoga, or use the movie theater. They can also walk the paths through the campus, spend time near the pond or bungalow, or play cornhole. Clients who have completed detox may use a fully equipped gym.
Aftercare
- Planning for next steps: Clients meet daily with a case manager to prepare for the next stage of care. The next stage of care may include PHP or IOP. Case managers can also coordinate outpatient treatment or help arrange supportive housing. Case managers can also assist with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) paperwork and communication with employers.
- Alumni support: After discharge, the facility's alumni network offers recovery meetings, peer connection, and access to sober social events.

View all facilities in ArizonaHow we research treatment facilities
Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.
Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:
- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.
- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.
- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.
- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.
Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.
How we evaluate treatment facilities
These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.

We cannot guarantee the quality of treatment at any facility. We cannot independently confirm the accuracy of every data point, and some information may become outdated or change over time. A Trust Score is a starting point, not a guarantee of treatment quality or outcomes. Please contact us if you would like to update or correct facility information.
