A Nature-Rich Setting for Recovery
Treatment is offered in a peaceful, supportive environment. This gives clients space to step away from daily stress and focus on healing. The log cabin layout with a central lodge creates a welcoming, home-like environment. Two lakes with walking trails encourage reflection, while porches and outdoor gathering spaces offer places to connect with others in recovery. This non-institutional setting feels familiar and approachable, especially for individuals who want to heal in a natural, down-to-earth atmosphere.
Spiritual and 12-Step Support
The center integrates spiritual awareness and the 12 Steps into daily life, offering both structure and community for those who find strength in faith-based recovery. Onsite Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings bring peers together to share experiences, while alumni groups provide ongoing fellowship after treatment ends. Clients also participate in guided meditation and discussions that encourage reflection on personal values and higher purpose. This combination can help clients feel less isolated, creating an environment where recovery is reinforced by shared belief and mutual encouragement.
Evidence-Based Therapies and Holistic Activities
Traditional talk therapies are combined with holistic and outdoor experiences that support mind, body, and spirit. Evidence-based options like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) help clients recognize unhealthy thought patterns and manage strong emotions. Trauma-focused care and motivational interviewing help clients build resilience and commitment to change. Holistic offerings such as mindfulness, yoga, and art therapy encourage reflection and help relieve stress. Outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, time by the lake, and various water activities, provide a natural outlet for renewal.
Family Involvement and Access to Community Resources
Family plays an active role in the center’s recovery approach. Each Sunday, loved ones are invited to participate in education sessions with topics including addiction, recovery, and ways to rebuild trust. These gatherings give families tools to support their loved one while also healing together. Community is reinforced through alumni events and peer mentoring. For those returning home, the center connects clients to vocational resources and local support groups. Access to sober living, housing, legal services, and health care can also be arranged based on client needs.
