Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults seeking detox followed by a residential substance use program; looking for a program that integrates clinical, holistic, and cultural elements; wanting a program that integrates non-denominational spirituality; who may benefit from intensive case management and life-skills support.

  • Not a fit if: Adults seeking an executive or luxury rehab facility; requiring affiliated sober or transitional housing after treatment; looking for a program with a significant focus on co-occurring mental health conditions.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • First steps: Care is provided 24/7, and medical stabilization is available. Clients receive a full clinical assessment after detox and before they transition into residential programming. This helps clinicians develop individual care plans based on clients’ treatment goals.
  • Various treatment approaches: Care plans merge clinical, holistic, and spiritual components. This approach helps to meet each client’s individual needs. Non-denominational spirituality and culturally relevant aspects can also be integrated into care.

Who you will meet with

  • Medical team: A qualified medical team provides support during detox, and are available to offer care throughout the client’s stay. These clinicians may also manage MAT as treatment progresses.
  • Individual therapists: Therapists meet with clients for individual and group therapy sessions. These meetings may focus on trauma-informed care and strengths-based treatment.
  • Additional clinical staff: Additional clinical staff lead group therapy, art and music therapy, and life-skills work. Nutrition counseling is also available.
  • Case management: Case managers help clients get the support they need throughout treatment, put together discharge plans, and connect clients with resources when they transition out of residential care.

Typical schedule

  • A mix of experiences: Clients attend individual and group therapy sessions, and onsite 12-Step meetings and other support programs are offered.
  • Holistic activities: Holistic and wellness activities are integrated into regular treatment. Clients can attend art and music therapy or try mindfulness and meditation. There are also opportunities to learn more about nutrition or attend drumming or healing circles.
  • Time in nature: The program also builds in time to explore nature, offering seasonal gardening activities, nature outings, and other group activities.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Comfortable quarters: The smoke-free campus is on the grounds of a former convent, offering a unique setting. Clients stay in private rooms with ensuite bathrooms, large closets, and desks.
  • Onsite meals: Meals are prepared by an onsite cook. Dietary accommodations are available.
  • Outdoor spaces: The campus sits on 10 acres, providing various opportunities for outdoor activities, including gardening.

Aftercare

  • A blueprint for after discharge: Case managers help clients develop a strong aftercare plan to help them find the support they need after transitioning out of the program, which may include helping them find food and shelter.
  • Building life skills: Treatment has a focus on life skills training, giving clients the tools they need for long-term recovery.
  • Continuing aftercare: The facility hosts alumni aftercare meetings. It welcomes clients back into the program when necessary and also offers outpatient detox and MAT services.
