State-Operated Substance Use Care for Adults

The hospital delivers focused treatment for adults with substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions. Its chemical dependency program spans the full continuum from medically supervised detox to 28-day residential care and intensive outpatient services. All treatment is evidence-based, incorporating therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and relapse prevention. Licensed medical and counseling staff create care plans adapted to each patient’s needs. Upon admission, patients receive a comprehensive medical and mental health assessment. Available testing includes screenings for substance use, mental health disorders, hepatitis B and C, HIV, and STDs, as well as metabolic monitoring.

Medical Detox with 24/7 Clinical Support

The inpatient detox program offers round-the-clock medical oversight to help patients safely manage withdrawal and begin recovery in a controlled hospital environment. Patients receive focused treatment to address both physical stability and emotional well-being, with licensed counselors providing daily therapy to introduce early recovery concepts. Care plans are tailored to each individual’s needs, guided by clinical assessments and supported by a multidisciplinary team. The program’s structured approach ensures that patients are medically stabilized, equipped with initial coping strategies, and prepared to transition smoothly into residential treatment or other next steps.

Structured Residential and Outpatient Treatment

The 28-day residential program guides patients in working toward sustained recovery. Days follow a consistent schedule that blends individual counseling, group therapy, skills-based workshops, relapse prevention planning, and trauma-informed care. Medical, nursing, and counseling staff meet weekly with each patient to review progress and refine goals. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) serves individuals with primary substance use issues who also benefit from mental health support. The program consists of three-hour group sessions three times per week, with additional individual counseling. Afternoon and evening groups are available to accommodate work or family commitments.

Coordinated Case Management and Ongoing Recovery Support

Case management begins at admission, with staff working alongside each patient to identify personal goals and connect to community resources. Support may include securing stable housing, arranging medical or mental health follow-up, and linking to employment or social service programs. Aftercare services include referrals to outpatient counseling and self-help groups. Follow-up contacts help track progress and maintain engagement in treatment, promoting a stable transition from inpatient care to independent recovery.
