Levels of care and assessment
Clients have access to a full range of treatment that may include withdrawal management (detox), psychiatric stabilization, residential treatment, outpatient programs, and continued care through the facility's broader organization. Upon completing detox or residential treatment, clients may transition to a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), or standard outpatient care. Intake may include a series of assessments and evaluations that cover medical, psychological, and psychosocial health. This may involve questions about substance use and family addiction history.
Therapy and counseling
Evidence-based care approaches may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Individual counseling may cover identifying relapse triggers, changing unhelpful thought patterns, developing new coping and time management skills, and working toward healthier routines. Group sessions allow clients to connect with peers in recovery, and family counseling provides support for relationship challenges and preparing for life after treatment.
Case management and aftercare
Each client works with a dedicated case manager who may provide support with personal, professional, and legal matters while the client is in treatment. Case managers also work to develop an aftercare plan for each client’s circumstances and needs for continued support. Prior to finishing treatment, clients meet with their counselor to discuss aftercare options. This may include continued outpatient therapy after discharge.
Holistic treatment options
Holistic care may be available in addition to evidence-based care and may include exercise, yoga, meditation, reflexology, naturopathy, nutritional therapy, or craniosacral therapy (a gentle, hands-on technique used on the client's skull and spine). These options are intended to support physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.
