Since 1975, New Chance Inc. has delivered accessible, evidence-based substance use treatment in Dodge City. The nonprofit integrates 24/7 social detox, men’s residential care, and outpatient programs for men and women. Treatment combines proven therapies with licensed peer support and creative approaches like art and music therapy, reflecting a practical, community-oriented philosophy that meets clients where they are.

Levels of Care and Program Access

New Chance offers social detox, residential, and outpatient treatment, to serve individuals at different stages of recovery. Detox provides 24-hour stabilization for men and women, while intermediate residential care and extended programs focus on men’s long-term recovery. Outpatient services for both men and women include group and individual counseling, supported by telehealth access for flexibility and reach across rural Kansas.

Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT)

The facility’s medical division provides medications for addiction treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine-based medications and naltrexone when clinically indicated, alongside behavioral therapies. Clients already prescribed MAT elsewhere can receive coordinated support to maintain continuity of care. This integrated model helps reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings while reinforcing therapeutic engagement.

Real-Life Supports and Collaborative Approach

New Chance prioritizes practical recovery support such as transportation assistance, employment counseling, housing navigation, and case management. Licensed peer mentors work alongside clinical staff to strengthen connection and accountability. The facility collaborates closely with local health and social service providers to address overlapping needs, creating a seamless network of care. Residential settings offer private or shared, air-conditioned rooms with laundry access and scheduled phone use, helping clients focus on recovery within a supportive, restorative environment.
