Women-Only, Faith-Based, Trauma-Informed Care

City on a Hill provides short-term residential treatment for adult women in Dighton. The program integrates a faith-based philosophy with trauma-informed practices to support recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Clients receive 24/7 residential structure in a setting designed to promote safety, stability, and clear routines.

Gender-Responsive, Evidence-Based Therapies

Clinical services include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, substance use counseling, trauma-related counseling, anger management, and education on health and tobacco cessation. The program features Helping Women Recover: Creating Gender-Responsive Treatment, addressing women’s experiences with trauma, relationships, and recovery. Services are delivered through individual, group, and family counseling.

Life Skills, Parenting, and Transition Support

Care extends beyond therapy to practical stability, including life-skills development, vocational readiness and employment counseling, parenting support, case management, assistance with social services, discharge planning, aftercare, and outcome follow-up. These services help clients prepare for day-to-day responsibilities and maintain continuity of support after residential care.

Rural Campus Setting and Daily Living

Located on a peaceful 10-acre rural campus, the women-only residence offers shared accommodations, on-site meals, common areas, and outdoor space for walking and reflection. A structured daily schedule balances therapy, skills practice, and spiritual activities. Admission requires clients to be detoxified, ambulatory, and medically stable (there is no on-site medical detox). Smoking and vaping are permitted in designated areas.
