Specialized Care for Young Mothers and Families

The nonprofit serves adult women ages 18–35 and their children ages 0–5 through its residential Recovery Home, as well as pregnant and parenting teens ages 12–21 in its Youth Maternity Home. These programs are designed for women who need structured, long-term care in a safe, family-oriented environment. Each mother participates in an individualized therapeutic plan that addresses both recovery and parenting goals, helping families stay together whenever possible. By combining addiction treatment with parenting education and early childhood support, the program gives women the opportunity to heal, grow, and rebuild stable, healthy homes.

Hands-On Support for Children in Recovery with Their Mothers

On-site early childhood educators provide daily care and developmental support in the Child Enrichment Center, a licensed program designed to foster emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Parents take part in parenting classes and guided family therapy to rebuild trust and stability at home. Through this family-centered model, mothers learn healthy routines, communication, and relationship skills, while children experience consistent nurturing and play-based learning that supports their development.

Comprehensive and Trauma-Informed Treatment

The facility’s multidisciplinary team includes therapists, addiction counselors, psychiatrists, and case managers who work together under one roof. Mothers receive integrated care addressing both substance use and mental health, with therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and trauma-related counseling.

Empowering Independent Living for Families

Families transitioning out of treatment can move into Florence Crittenton’s Transitional Living Program, where they live independently while continuing to receive outpatient and home-based support. The Family Healing Center offers aftercare counseling, parenting assistance, and community connections to help maintain progress. Through ongoing mentoring, housing support, and follow-up care, families are guided toward independence with the confidence and skills to build healthy, sustainable lives.
