Set in a historic Victorian house, Commons at WestBridge provides residential care for adults facing substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Clients participate in evidence-based therapy, trauma-informed counseling, and 12-step meetings as part of treatment plans. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be prescribed as needed to ease withdrawal and cravings. Housing and vocational services and an alumni program help ensure that clients can build a lasting foundation for recovery.

A Setting Designed for Recovery

As part of the residential program, clients share meals, community spaces, and daily routines in an environment designed to encourage stability and peer bonding. The house features private and shared bedrooms, a scenic porch, and access to walking paths. These surroundings, combined with 24/7 staff support, create a safe and welcoming place where clients can step away from the pressures of daily life.

Evidence-Based Therapies and 12-Step Groups

Treatment blends proven therapeutic methods with practical approaches. Clients take part in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, and trauma-informed counseling. At the same time, community recovery traditions like 12-step facilitation, mindfulness, and yoga are included to support spiritual and emotional growth. Medication is available for both mental health and addiction when needed. The program emphasizes building skills, habits, and connections that last.

Daily Structure and Community Living

Daily life follows a structured schedule designed to help clients rebuild healthy patterns. Activities include individual and group counseling sessions, family education, and support meetings. The program uses a modified therapeutic community model, meaning that peers play an active role in supporting one another’s recovery. Honesty, accountability, and shared responsibility are central to the approach.

Preparing for Life After Treatment

Clients receive practical support to prepare for life after residential treatment. Services include vocational counseling, supported education, employment training, and relapse prevention planning. The focus is on developing tools to manage responsibilities, find or keep steady work, and build financial stability. This helps clients return to their communities with the confidence needed to sustain recovery.

Family Involvement and Support

When appropriate, families can be closely involved in the treatment process. Loved ones receive education, coaching, and opportunities to participate in sessions, aiming to help repair strained relationships and rebuild trust. Families learn how to support recovery without enabling harmful behaviors, and clients benefit from knowing they will return to a stronger, more understanding home environment.
