What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Initial assessment: During admission clients go through assessments with clinical staff to evaluate their substance use, mental health, and recovery needs.
- Collaborative treatment planning: Care plans are developed together with clients and clinical team members playing an active role. Plans are evaluated and readjusted throughout the duration of the stay based on clinical progress and changing needs of the individual.
Who you will meet with
- Medical and psychiatric team: Psychiatrists, nursing staff, and other medical professionals support clients' physical health, medication management, psychiatric care, and related medical needs.
- Clinical team: Individual and group counseling, treatment planning, and therapeutic support is provided by the clinical therapy staff.
- Case management and recovery support staff: Case managers and behavioral health technicians coordinate care. They support daily treatment and assist with recovery and discharge planning.
Typical schedule
- Individual and group therapy: Clients may participate in individual counseling, group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-focused counseling, and relapse prevention programming.
- Recovery-focused programming: Recovery education, 12-Step facilitation, and experiential activities like adventure outings and ziplining are designed to help clients build the skills they need to maintain long-term recovery.
- Mental health and medical support: Clients can access psychiatric care, medications for addiction treatment (MAT), and support for co-occurring mental health conditions when needed.
- Family support: Family involvement is an important part of treatment. It may include education, mediation services, and visitation opportunities. Family education covers topics such as addiction, co-occurring disorders, healthy boundaries, codependency, aftercare planning, and recovery resources. Visitation is available on a case-by-case basis in coordination with the clinical team.

- Residential environment: Clients stay in a residential mountain retreat with an atmosphere that balances community and personal space.

- Nature and outdoor recovery: Walking trails, therapeutic hiking, outdoor meditation, and mindfulness activities are some of the nature-based recovery experiences integrated into treatment. The facility also offers off-site gym access, yoga and other physical wellness activities.
