A Teen-Focused Residential Setting With Daily Structure

The Grove is a voluntary residential treatment program for teens ages 13–17 in Winter Springs. It provides 24/7 supervision in a structured environment, with private or shared, air-conditioned rooms. The facility does not permit smoking or vaping, which can help reduce daily distractions while teens focus on treatment and routine.

Frequent Therapy With Built-In Family Involvement

Teens participate in group therapy five days a week, with individual and family therapy at least once a week. The family component supports caregivers with education on chemical dependency and practical skills for reinforcing progress at home, so treatment is not just happening in session, but also reflected in the family system.

Support for Co-Occurring Needs, Trauma, and Psychiatry

The program supports teens with co-occurring mental health needs and includes trauma-related counseling among its approaches. Psychiatric evaluations and medication management are available when appropriate, helping families coordinate substance use care alongside mental health support in one treatment plan.

School Continuity Through Florida Virtual School

A key differentiator is on-site access to Florida Virtual School, with classroom support to help teens maintain credits or catch up during treatment. Keeping school embedded in the schedule can make returning to everyday life easier, especially for families concerned about lost academic time.

Life Skills and Real-World Practice Beyond the Therapy Room

Alongside therapy, teens build practical skills through life skills courses that cover budgeting basics, job interviewing, and planning healthy meals. The program also offers peer support, recovery meetings, and supervised community outings and volunteer opportunities, ways for teens to practice healthier habits, communication, and responsibility in settings that mirror life after residential care.
